So yeah i guess its time for a post christmas edition of my xanga site. Im temporarily back en los estados unidos for a little while and it has been wonderful. Highlights include friends, family, starbucks, lou malnatis, photoshopping in my own room (see above), the ability to purchase any bloody cd i want to and sleeping in my bed. Lowlights include sub freezing temperatures and not having anyone to hablo espanol to.

I was going to write a christmas letter to everyone but then i got too busy so here it is, on my xanga: L. there. its probably one of the taller christmas letters around so i hope you enjoyed it.

In the interest of not degenerating into an abyss of classic xanga style entries, here are some funny jokes. if you dont think they are funny, you should probably go to the doctor and get a sense of humor transplant because or at least apply for a handicapped sticker.

Did you hear about the cannibal who went on a roller coaster and threw up his arms?

Did you hear about the cannibal who passed the missionary on the trail?

Did you hear about the cannibal who had a wife and ate/eight kids?

What did the cannibal do after he dumped his girlfriend? He wiped.

please enjoy those jokes. or else. something terrible will happen. to you.

so yeah if you decide you want to send me some letters...

Best Thing I Watched All Summer

The Office Seasons 1 and 2 - Please watch this show, by hook or by crook if necessary. It has found a place near and dear to my heart, right up there with simpsons and seinfeld. absolutely brilliant.

Top 10 Favorite Albums of this Summer(in no order)

so difficult to say everything i want to say about these albums. some old favorites that seemed relevant this summer, and new discoveries (some long overdue). If you like good music, we are looking for recruits for our Creedelback Down  = Lame Sauce blogring. So heres some quick notes on these amazing albums

The Fiery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat - Epic experimental indie folk ballads galore. The most unique music ive heard in a while.

Elliott Smith - From a Basement on a Hill - This is what happens when you take Elliott Smith's amazing songwriting abilities and production techniques and push them to the limit. My personal favorite of his releases.

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless - Have you ever wanted to know what it would be like inside of the womb of music? Really eerie, warm and lush music that sounds like its on the brink of faltering under its own weight only to get right back up again and rock some faces.

Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News -  This album is just some good solid rock music. Easily accessible for the casual listener and legitimate enough to be put on repeat over and over again. Makes you feel kind bad for Isaac Brock, hes not such a happy camper

Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot - Dangit. Amazing.

Interpol - Turn On the Bright Lights - Heres a band that on first listen, i did not see what all the hype was about. I kept at it though and it is slowly becoming one of my favorite cds of all time.

Broken Social Scene - You Forgot it in People - Indie pop-rock at its finest. Track 2, KC Accidental is one of my favorite songs ever.

Beck - Midnight Vultures - Here is an album that has seen incredibly heavy rotation in my musical cycle over the course of the past year and a half. No matter how much i listen to it, i just cant seem to get sick of it. Beck is a genius and i cannot wait for his upcoming release.

AIR - Talkie Walkie - If there can be a better chillaxxxin cd than this, i dont think i would want to hear it because it would probably melt my brain and drip out of my ear all over my mother's cherished new carpet resulting in me being exiled from the family and making it necessary for me to join a nomadic tribe of t-shirt vendors.

Sufjan Stevens  - Greetings! from Michigan - This album may have found its way to my top ten favorite of all time this summer. Not only is Sufjan technically talented at myriad of instruments, he can hold it down like no other in the songwriting department. To top it all off, hes a christian. I feel that he can has the talent to begin a christian music revolution where artists can actually be free to express themselves instead of trying to sound like someone else in the secular music department.

Best (new) Cigar I Smoked All Summer

Fonseca Delicias - Thanks to the Fabian whose trip to Colombia recently found him with too many cubans and a deficiency of people to enjoy them with, i managed to get hooked up phatty style with one of the most enjoyable smoking experiences ive had in a while.

Im not gonna lie, I like getting letters. Dont send anything that is over 2 pounds cuz it prolly wont get there and if it does it will be like 50 bucks for me to get it out of customs.

heres my email

send me emails and stuff cuz i like that too. Ill try and be good about getting back to you as soon as possible but we wont have internet access on campus so i will prolly only make it to the cyber cafe about once a week but i will get back to you. also, email me if you want a gmail account. I have 6 invitations left but its an amazing email server with a gigabyte of storage space so you wont have to worry about deleting any messages at all really.

also, i just want to thank everyone who came to my barbecue last weekend. It was easily the best day of my summer and it really meant a lot to me so see that I have so many good friends who I will miss dearly. I cant wait to see everyone again next year when i return to the parkage. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
